This book is more focusing on enhancement of using Codes, Standards and Engineering Standards for
calculations, analysis and failure assessment rather than discussion of the basic theory in very details. Therefore,
this book is written based on thematic method where the subjects discussed in this book are frequently found in
working environment both in the oil/gas engineering consultant and operating companies.
This book has intended to assist engineers and designers and for the one who interested in mechanical static
and piping in doing their work and able to deliver the work which meets standard engineering practice.
The author prepared this book was based on gathered experiences during his tenure as a Piping / Mechanical
designer/engineer/lead engineer/principal engineer and business technical authority in the oil/gas industries both
in engineering consultant companies and in the oil/gas operating company in some countries such as Indonesia,
Brunei Darussalam and Malaysia.
The content of this book is comprised of basic theory and guideline, samples calculation and analysis, sample
